On-The-Job Training

On-the-job training, also known as OJT, is conducted by a private for profit, public or private non-profit employer, that occurs while an individual is engaged in productive work, learning the skills and information necessary for full and adequate performance on the job. OJT training is an excellent option for employers that are willing to make a long-term commitment towards employment. OJT is limited in duration based upon the target occupation for which the participant is being trained, the participant's work experience and the service strategy.

  • OJT can increase a business’ profits by enabling the employer to lower the costs of hiring and training qualified workers.

  • The employer is reimbursed a percentage of the wages during the pre-agreed training period; include up to 75% reimbursement depending on number of employees.

  • OJT contracts are prepared and processed by staff at no cost to the employer; paperwork is minimal.
