On Tuesday, August 1, 2018 the NCWorks Career Center in Scotland County hosted a NCWorks 101 training for local businesses and industries at Richmond Community College—Honeycutt Center in Laurinburg, NC. Mr. Alan Wagner, Employment Analyst with the Division of Workforce Solutions, facilitated the training and provided valuable information for effectively and efficiently utilizing NCWorks Online. The purpose of the training was to provide local employers with resources for businesses/industries through the NCWorks Online system and assist them with registering their organization in the system. NCWorks Online is a one-stop online resource for job seekers and employers in North Carolina. Through NCWorks Online employers have the ability to find/screen candidates through the virtual recruiter, post jobs, view online resumes and view current labor market information. Businesses and industries in attendance for the training included Church of Community Services, Kordsa, Campbell Soup, Smithfield’s Farms and Mega Force.
